I was at a shop the other day when I saw a fitness DVD set on sale. I wanted to buy it at once but held off when I realize that I don’t have the time now (and discipline) to keep a regular exercise routine. Then I also thought if it’s the right approach for me since a pull up station or dip stand equipment might the best to invest on. I just zapped back to reality and accept that I can’t buy any fitness DVD or equipment right now. They will only end up as dust collectors in our home.

Road Rules
I have been driving here in Australia for almost three years now. But I haven’t really gone out to big highways and long distances because I still have fear relying solely in car or mobile GPS. There is just too much to worry about while on the road like the rules, the directions and the kids who are usually my default passengers. Oh well, I know someday I need to get over that fear but for now, I’m happy to have my husband ferry us around especially for long drives.
A Not-So Surprise Purchase
We have been looking for a dining set replacement since we got back from our holidays last month. Luckily, there’s this furniture store at the nearby mall and they are on floor stock sale! They have traditional and modern furniture and we were able to get a new dining set today. Hooray! The delivery will be a week from now and I can’t wait! I have started re-arranging the house again and will be printing and framing new family photos. This should keep me busy in the coming weeks.
Bad Shopper
It is a shame to admit that I am so challenged when it comes to shopping, especially for myself. I tend to get things that I would regret buying as soon as I reach home. Whether its clothes, shoes womens or should I say womens shoes or accessories, I would almost always end up giving them away because I no longer like them. I think some people are just born bad shoppers, he he. Otherwise, fashion critics will be out of jobs.
Hearts' Day
Starting next week, the shopping centers will be busy promoting Valentine’s Day sales. As for me, just like in previous years, I’ll be sending flowers to our loved ones back home. Nothing beats the scent and the warmth that come along fresh flowers wrapped beautifully in a bouquet. Many prefer sending red roses with long stems but my preference is sending roses in their favorite colors. Nowadays, there are blue, purple, yellow and pink varieties, which are just lovely!
Lean or Thin?
Why there are so many diet pills like adapexin in the market these days? I don’t know. What scary about this is not very many people know if all of these are safe. And those who desperately want to lose weight, take these pills blindly and sometimes with a combination of crash diet. The result, a lean or thin but very unhealthy body. I hope pharmaceutical companies step up to keep consumers informed and guided.
Tiny Tasks
I have quite a number of things to do on my list. These are nitty-gritty things that if left undone, will blow up on my face sooner or later. I have to make phone calls here, follow-ups there, buy this, return that and many other little things. Thankfully, scouting for the best diet pill on the market is not something I have to or need to do.
Lactation Blues
New mothers who are going through breast feeding problems should consider seeing lactation consultants. They provide encouragement, tips and advice and can give one-on-one training, too. At times, it is getting over the anxiety that is needed in order for the mom and the baby to enjoy the bond that breastfeeding can give. And sometimes, it is alleviating the pressure off the mothers who try their best but can’t really breastfeed.
Getting Insured
It can be tempting to consider getting low insurance coverage from cheap auto insurance companies but we know this is something we shouldn’t scrimp on. We have been with a good company for three years now and like what they say, why fix something that isn’t broken? So we’ll stay with our insurer until a better one comes along.
My (Not So) Favorite Season
This year, we will experience our 3rd Winter season. Not a big deal, really. Except that we will go through the motions of bringing out the room heaters and stacks of Winter clothes as we do for the past 2 years. Our beds will once again be fitted with beddings made of wool because we are afraid to use heated mattress pads for safety reasons. Oh, how I dread the cold season.
