Since my little girl was 6 months old, she has shown signs of her love for books. She flipped pages on her own at that early age, took delight in touch/feel pages and enjoyed pretend reading. Until now, she still loves books. And I’m sure if she can only read, she would have read tons of books already. I look forward to the day that she can read her books on her own.

More to Be Done
It’s officially the weekend and I’m overwhelmed with all the activities and chores that require my full attention. Of course, activities with the family take priority especially during weekends, which means chores takes a back seat. But I can’t help but be on multi-tasking overdrive when I see the chores piling up. This weekend, I need to get done a few appliance and home/office furniture moves. This requires the husband’s help and I hope he still has the energy to help me out on this.
Only for Emergencies
Whenever I think about loans, credit checks or credit scores, I’m reminded of my close friend living in the US. When I visited her there a few years back, she was surprised to see me bring cash any where I went. She said that credit cards are the preference and that help increase one’s credit scores. I explained to her that I don’t want to lose on currency exchange rate and so I prefer to spend cash than charge. During travels, our credit cards are designated for use during emergencies only.
Party Plans
Before we left for Sydney in March, I was able to make a booking for the venue of my son’s 1st birthday. It will be a post-celebration in December, with his actual birthday happening in September. I am inching my way to organize the details and those I need to book or make reservations for, I want done before the 2nd half of the year. December is a very busy month especially in Manila and suppliers for cake, invitations and even favors need to be booked way in advance. I’m not feeling the excitement yet at this point, but as soon as I start organizing it, I’m sure I’ll be an excited party planner!
