More Mini-Project Ideas

I would love to make slide shows of our visits to Manila the past years.  My eldest kid recently enjoys watching photo slides with upbeat music over at you More tube.   Of course, the challenge here is time and inspiration.  I have a lot of mini-project ideas running in my head and I can’t do any of them right now.  Not when my kids get sick alternately because of the weather.  Fingers and toes crossed, I hope I can do the slide show soon.

Getting Dimmer By the Day

The lighting in our living room seems to get dim by the day.  I’m sure there’s something wrong with it and my husband should check it one of these days.  It’s getting hard especially in the evenings when we just want to hang out and watch telly in the living room.  It is no Minka lighting, but it has served as well since we moved here almost two years ago.

No End

Got a mail last week from our insurance company inquiring if we’re interested to increase coverage of our house content insurance.  I haven’t discussed this with my husband if we want to pursue it and ask for an insurance quote.  As it is, there’s so much we need to get done at home and heaps of documents to file and update.  And it just won’t end.

Let's Get Fit

They say it is easier to burn fats during winter time.  If so, then this is the best time to try to get fit.  I would love to lose the flabs in my tummy and arms.  The only question is how?  Should I invest in exercise equipment like treadmills or DVD sets like Zumba?  Or will my daily house chores be enough?

Still Sleep Deprived

I always wonder lately when my 8 month old will start sleeping through the night.  I thought my experience with my eldest child will be different this time.  But it turned out that my first baby had a much better sleeping pattern than my second.  I’m still very much sleep deprived and I’m compensating it either by eating or taking supplements.  No sleep aids needed.

The Way to Go

I’ve had the worst migraine attacks seven years ago when I was a busy career woman in Singapore. I recall having to throw-up, lose appetite, feel wuzzy and hated any form of light each time I go through an attack. At that time, I wasn’t into any form of medication because I was on the lookout for a natural migraine relief. But after a thorough doctor’s consultation, I decided that medication is the way to go. Thankfully, I haven’t had any migraine attacks since.

We're Coming Home

We started our countdown to our next trip to the Philippines.  We are so looking forward to spend time with our families again, eat our favorite local food and hangout with friends.  And of course, that’s our opportunity also to pamper ourselves with massages, facials (goodbye acne and blackheads!) and lovely foot spas!  Ah, six months is still a long way off but we’re just as excited.

My Dream House

There is a major sale in this huge furniture shop in Sydney.  Modern sofas, dining sets, bedroom showcases are on 30-50% mark down!  I told the husband that the shop should have that promotion again by the time we’re buying our own home.  I’m beginning to envision what our new home will be like.  The color scheme, the materials, the style, they’re like puzzle pieces setting in my mind.  Ah, hope that time comes soon.

See the World

My husband is eyeing to bring the kids to the Goldcoast next year.  He said that even before we go to Disneyland (and stay at Disney World hotels) or Universal Studios, he wants us to experience touring Australia.  I agree with him on this.  There is so much to see and do here.  The only challenge is time.  But we’re taking baby steps.  We’re hoping to bring the kids to Canberra this September to see the Floriade for the first time.

A Masterchef Fan

The Masterchef Australia series have run on TV for quite a while now and it is only recently that I started to have interest to follow the show.  I am amazed that the 90% of the contestants are rightful to be called ‘chefs’ already!  What with all the delectable desserts and delicious meals they present.  There’s no way that anyone (even those who wants to lose weight or are avoiding diet pills or apidexin scam) could resist trying to have a bite of the food they prepare.
