Each time we visit the mall in Chatswood, my daughter likes to hang out at this pet store. She enjoys watching the puppies and rabbits in huge glass cases, seeing them play and rest on pet beds. I’m surprised that she didn’t feel any fear of these animals especially when they get near her. Hopefully though, she will not reach a stage where she’ll beg us for a pet. Sounds mean I know, but I’m just too scared of the responsibility that comes along caring for a pet.

Goodbye Flabs!
Summer is just around the corner and many people are now hyped up to get slim in order to fit in that teeny-weeny beach outfit. As for me, Summer season or not, I need to lose my pregnancy weight and fast! I have been on an eating-spree since I gave birth and now I’m a bit worried that I’ll have these unsightly flabs forever! Diet products are not in the picture as yet, hopefully, I can lose weight naturally. Cross fingers! Hee.
Doodle-Kaboodle
It’s not a big concern as yet but my little girl has a growing interest in scribbling on desks, tables and our poor TV screen with her crayons! I’m glad she has stayed away from doors and walls so far. Otherwise, poor mama will be scrubbing and swiping the walls clean every day. It does help though that she has her own play desk (smaller than classroom desks) and an easel board where she does most of her doodle art.
More Space
Now that we have two little kids, I felt an inkling to search for a bigger apartment or house to rent. No matter how much we sort and pack away stuff that we rarely or no longer use, we still end up with a lot of things kept in our storage space. If both our kids will acquire more toys (like gaming consoles, boardgames or ping pong tables perhaps?) and clothes in the near future, we definitely need to consider moving houses, otherwise, our whole house will look like one messy play area!
Future Travel Plan
This early my husband and I are already contemplating on the 7th birthday celebration of our first born. She is currently into Disney princess characters right now and we thought that she’d have a grand time celebrating her big day in where else but Disneyland! And by then, our newborn will be about 4 years old and for sure he, too will enjoy Disneyland. And as for me and my husband, we need to plan our itinerary (to include Las Vegas or Miami hotel deals) so that we can have some good fun, too.
When Oh When
It is very tempting to upgrade to a bigger LCD monitor for our living room. Especially these days when appliance stores have them on sale almost every day. Two things that keep us from going for the purchase is one, our daughter (and soon to be joined by our son) who is in the habit of getting really close to the TV screen, which of course is bad for her health. I have already mentioned in one of my earlier posts, that one time, she even used her crayon to scribble right on the LCD screen! Imagine, a year from now, our little boy doing the same thing to a super expensive LCD set. Sigh. Second, the decision whether to settle here in Sydney is very much up in the air. We don’t want to make expensive purchases when eventually we have to sell them or give them away when in the end, we decide to move to another country, again.
A Smile Makeover
I am looking for a really good dentist in Manila. I would like to have a few procedures done and that require an experienced orthodontist in the area of teeth restoration (e.g. dental implants Plano). That also means I’ll be running a tight schedule during our two-month vacation. I hope my family and friends will be able to recommend someone otherwise, I might end up having those procedures done here in Sydney.
Cleanliness Bug
A week after my delivery and I’m overwhelmed with the things I want to do around the house. You can’t blame me, I miss doing the cleaning! He he. There’s something about doing chores that seem to be therapeutic for me. Weird I know. And with that, I’m sure my hands will be full in the coming weeks. I hope I won’t need to rent a Ladybug steam cleaner because last time my husband had to do the steam cleaning and that alone is extremely tiring and there’s a lot to be done!
