I am so encouraged to learn more dishes to cook and simple cakes to bake. After our little girl’s birthday party last week, I thought of investing on recipe books and cooking/baking equipment. I know I won’t be able to buy them all at once. That’s why next year, I will create a priority list on the must-buy. I don’t want to get over-eager and buy things I may not use at all. Or worse, use up my current credit limit and avail of instant credit cards, which will be a headache in the long run.

Mental Checklist
In preparation for our upcoming trip home, my husband and I prepared some sort of a checklist of eating places that we consider “must visit”. For sure, not only our tummies will have a fill of the food that we’ll have but my Canon camera, too. Ha ha. I miss taking food shots!
I used to take a photo of each and every restaurant we visit and blog about it but now I even forget to bring my camera whenever we dine out. Oh well, to make up for it, I’ll make sure that I’ll bring a camera, whether my p&s or my dlsr, wherever I go during our vacation.
Hoping to post food photos, soon!
Missing the Big Screen
I would love to watch the movie Nights in Rodanthe. I loved the teaser and liked the beach setting. The houses featured are like the ones in Outer banks rentals, with its antique, homey feel to it. Of course, the tandem of Richard Gere and Diane Lane is a sure winner. However, we might wait for this film to be available on DVD. It will be a challenge to bring a toddler to the cinema and be able to enjoy a relaxing movie.
Planned Day Out
My mother-in-law arrived Sydney over the weekend and we’re planning to bring her to Sydney Fish Market this Saturday. I’m planning to have crabs or lobsters but I hope to be more adventurous and try other seafood there. I’ll make sure to share some photos next week!
Little Adjustments
The house we are renting now has a lock-up garage. I was worried in parking the car there at first because I find the garage space a bit tight. So my husband agreed that whenever I use it, I just leave the car in the open parking slot in front of the house. Then he brought up the idea for us to check out car covers. But after successfully parking the car on my own in the garage two days ago, there’s no need to buy covers anymore.
